On Friday, March 16, 2018, June L. Naylor, 78, passed away at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of Marvin M. Naylor. She was born on June 23, 1939 in Havre de Grace, MD to the late Herman and Gladys (Jones) Webb. June’s passion was singing. She started out singing in country music bands that toured VFW’s, Fire Halls, and American Legions around the region. Her first country band, the Time Piece Band, traveled to Nashville and composed a record. Her next country band that she and her husband were in together, the Cold Cash Band, created another self-titled record. During that time period, June had the pleasure of singing with country music stars such as Janie Fricke, Conway Twitty and Buck Owens. While doing all of this traveling and recording, June still maintained a full-time job at Susquehanna Metal Box in Havre de Grace, MD, where she retired after 30 years. In 1987, June switched gears from country music to focusing on southern gospel music. She would travel around to local churches and retirement communities, sharing her love of the Lord in song. She even released yet another album, in CD format, titled Songs of Praise. June is survived by her husband, Marvin; step-sons, Ronald Naylor and Michael Naylor and wife, Carrie; grandchildren, Claudia, Danny and Brennan; nine nieces and nephews, Alan Webb and wife Becky, Steve Webb and wife, Margaret, Dean Webb and wife, Susan, Rodney Webb and wife, Frances, Mark Webb and wife, Melissa, Nolan Gallion and wife, Sandy, Lori Denbow and husband, Jeff, Christine Deckard and husband, Mike and Denise Claudill and husband, Alan. She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents; and two siblings, Charlotte Gallion and Francis “Sonny” Webb. Public viewings will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 23, at Wiseburg United Methodist Church, 810 Wiseburg Road, White Hall, MD 21161. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Rev.
