Karen J. Kehr

December 5, 1945 — May 17, 2021

With exceedingly great joy and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved Karen J. (Newbould) Kehr from this imperfect life on earth to the eternal peace of being every moment in the very presence of Jesus Christ our Blessed Savior. She was proceeded to Heaven by her parents, C. Henry Newbould and Ethel L. (Strayer) Newbould, her sister, Nancy Gemmil, and three grandbabies that she finally got to meet upon her arrival on May 17, 2021. Waiting to join her are her loving husband, Philip H. Kehr, her daughter, Donna L. Grim and husband Michael, son, Thomas P. Kehr and wife Pamela, grandchildren Nathaniel and Kate Grim, Jeremiah and Megan Grim, Jack and Dorothy (Grim ) Chronister, Daniel and Gabrielle (Grim) Krape, Lydia Grim, Caleb Grim and her six great grandbabies who brought her such pleasure! Karen also leaves her big sister, JoAnn S. Paules, and her big brother Edward H. Newbould and wife Donna, along with many friends and relatives too numerous to mention, but you know who you are, and you know you were loved! Karen attended Christian School of York and Dover High School. She married her beloved “Phip” on June 26, 1965. Although she enjoyed many jobs over the years, such as cafeteria lady at Leader Heights Elementary, Packager for Newbould Tool Co, Inc., and Rainbow Machine Products, seamstress for Pat Morgart Bridals, baker for Brown’s Orchards, the one sheenjoyed most was cooking and baking in abundance for those she loved. Please join us in celebrating Karen’s old life and her new one, at New Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1873 New Fairview Church Road, York, PA 17403 on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Visitation begins at 9:00 am, with Service at 11:00. Burial will be at the church cemetery. We appreciate your prayers as we learn to navigate this life without her, while awaiting our eternal reunion.
