Karen Lynn Mckinsey

On Friday, January 17, 2020, Karen L. (Measley) McKinsey, 69, passed away peacefully at home.She was born on June 14, 1950 in York to the late Wilson and Mary (Boyer) Measley.Karen was a 1968 graduate of Susquehannock High School.She then went on to become Head Custodian for Southern York County School District before retiring after 25 years.Karen loved butterflies and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her two children, Melissa Chittum and husband Troy, of Thomasville, and Mark McKinsey of York; seven grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 1 step-grandchild; two siblings, Robin Flinchbaugh and husband Glen of Seven Valleys and Ed Measley and wife Linda of Dover; Karen is also survived by many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Gloria Doxzen and Connie Carter. Services are private at the request of the family.
