Katherine V. Remphrey (Fry)

Katherine V. Remphrey, 95, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at Accolades, Inc., New Freedom. She was the wife of the late William F. "Bill" Remphrey. Visitation 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, March 21, from the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The service will begin at 12 noon Monday at the mortuary with the Rev. John C. Feaster officiating. Burial will be in New Freedom Cemetery. Born in New Freedom, York County, Katherine was the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Doris (Andrews) Fry. Katherine was a former secretary for the New Freedom Cemetery Association for over 15 years. She was a life member of Trinity U.M. Church of New Freedom. Katherine was also a member of V.F.W. Post 7012 and of the Rose Volunteer Fire Company, both of New Freedom. Katherine leaves two daughters, Sandy K. Koller and her husband, Joe of New Freedom, and Cindy L. Protz-Bass and her husband, Richard of Scottsboro, Ala.; four grandsons, Brad and Brian Koller and Jeremy and Jessie Protz; two great-grandsons, Adam and Max Koller; and a sister, Grace Copenhaver of York.
