Kathleen Pearl Rutzebeck

Kathleen Pearl Rutzebeck, 88, passed away on November 1, 2022 at her home in Westover, PA, in the loving care of her family. Kathleen was born on August 8, 1934 at her family homestead, in Maryland Line, Maryland, to the late Richard & Jeannette (Early) Phillips.  She was the loving wife of the late, Forrest A. Rutzebeck.

Kathleen was an Inspector for Black & Decker Manufacturing Company for many years. She was known for her keen sense of style and perfectly coiffed hair. Kathleen and Forrest owned and operated a paddleboat business in Florida and they loved boating and fishing.  Kathleen had a great sense of humor and loved to joke around with friends and family.

Kathleen is survived by her sons; Norman P. Rutzebeck and his wife, Jeannie, Michael B. Rutzebeck and his wife, Pam, and Steven F. Rutzebeck and his wife, Sherry; her dear siblings, Edwina Hammond, June Helman, Richard Phillips, and Jerry Phillips; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest A. Rutzebeck and her sister, Hazel Boylan. She was loved by many and will be missed by all that knew her.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, November 10 ^th , from 11:00 am- 1:00 pm, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Cares, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm, with interment immediately following in West Liberty United Methodist Cemetery, 20400 West Liberty Rd., White Hall, MD 21161.
