Kathryn May Mccleary

Kathryn May "Kate" McCleary, 97, of Stewartstown, passed into the Lord's hands on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at ManorCare Dallastown. Kathryn was the loving wife of the late Quentin D. McCleary who passed in 2004. Born in Oley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles K. and Katie L. (Miller) Miller. Married Dec. 9, 1945, Kathryn worked by her husband's side on their family farm until 1971 and later retired from AMP, Inc., Loganville in 1988. She was a member of Stewartstown United Methodist Church and Stewartstown Senior Center. Surviving are three children: Ruth Ellen Klinedinst of Stewartstown, Donald McCleary & wife, Melody of Glen Rock, Karen Frantz and husband, Thomas of Stewartstown;6 grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Kimberly, Jason, Donald Jr. and Lindsey; 8 great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jaden, Bailey, Leland, Marlee, Finnegan, Grace and Landyn; 3 sisters, Anna Mae Cook and husband, Orvin, Shirley Joines and husband, Bob, and Helen Ford; one brother, Charles Miller Jr. and wife, Anna Mae; and two sisters-in-law, Peggy Miller and Linda Miller. Kathryn was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert, a son-in-law, Marlin Klinedinst, two brothers, Robert Miller and Dean Miller, a brother-in-law, Robert Ford, and a sister-in-law, Esther Fry. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 15, at Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 S. Main Street, Stewartstown, PA 17363 with a funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Interment is private and at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathryn’s memory to the Stewartstown Senior Center, 26 S. Main Street, Stewartstown, PA 17363.
