Kenneth B. Baker

Kenneth Bartaine Baker, 81, formerly of Shrewsbury, died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Thursday, February 25, 2016. He was the husband of Norma Newcomer Baker, to whom he was married for 42 years. Ken was born in Shrewsbury on October 29, 1934 to the late Frank and Evelyn (Cooper) Baker. He was retired from DonLee Tech, Inc. where he served as Vice President and International Export Manager. Ken served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was a member of Bon Air Country Club, Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge #423, and Twin Deer Hunting Camp. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, watching sports and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife; step-children, Steven Koller and wife Sherrie, Deborah Koller, Michael Koller and wife, Gail and Stacie Lippy; grandchildren, Connor and Joshua Baker, Eric Koller, Abbie Beall, Rachel Walters, Matthew Koller, Camille and Jered Marsteller, Randi Lee Hess, Ami, Alli and Jake Koller, Alexandra and Grant Lippy; and five great-grandchildren. Ken also had three siblings, Cletus, Sterling and Shirley. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Stephen Baker; and one step-son, Randy Koller. A public viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 2. Pastor Jeffrey Slemp will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kenneth's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 924-N Colonial Avenue, York, PA 17403.
