Kenneth W. Zimmerman

Kenneth “Zeke” W. Zimmerman, 76, of Fawn Grove, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born in York, PA, he was a son to the late Myles K. and Mildred M. (Webb) Zimmerman. He was the loving husband of 56 years to Barbara (Caudill) Zimmerman.

Kenny was a 1966 graduate of Kennard Dale High School and a lifelong resident of Fawn Grove. He had many passions, including anything related to trains, dirt-track racing and drag-racing, and anything relating to cars, including his 1961 Corvette. He also enjoyed the family trips to their beach getaway. Kenny was a member of the Stewartstown Sons of the American Legion Post #455, where he held the position of treasurer, and was a Fawn Grove Borough Council member for many years. He retired in 2010 from the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in Delta where he worked as a machinist for 26 years. Above all, Kenny was a family man, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Kenny is survived by his wife, Barbara; two children, Stefanie Armour (Neal), and Jeffrey Zimmerman (Samantha); five grandchildren, Shane Armour, Zoey Zimmerman, Cole Armour, Cameron Zimmerman, and Chase Armour; sister Ann Frey; and sister-in-law, Arlene Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Zimmerman; and brother-in-law, Bradley Frey.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 2-4 PM, Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A Celebration of Life will begin at 4 PM at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Dr. Daniel R. Moore. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kenny’s honor to the Citizens Volunteer Fire Co. of Fawn Grove or the Stewartstown Sons of the American Legion Post #455. All are welcome for a time of fellowship following the service at the Stewartstown American Legion Post #455.
