On June 6, 2016, Kevin P. "Kash" Kashner, 59, died at his home with family by his side. Public visitation will be from 1 p.m. until a memorial service begins at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 10 at St. John (Sadler's) Lutheran Church, 2916 Sadler's Church Rd., Stewartstown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Dr. E. Gordon Ross will officiate. "Kash" was born October 3, 1956, in York to the late Paul R. and Reba M. (Gemmill) Kashner. He was an assembler for Harley-Davidson for 33 years, retiring at the age of 53. He was also a member of the Stewartstown American Legion Post #455 and the Stewartstown VFW Post #7046. "Kash" enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, going to car shows and staying at his Clinton County cabin. Surviving him are his longtime companion, Joanne Heaton; one brother, Dale R. Kashner; one sister, Linda E. Sheetz and her husband Robert; one sister-in-law, Jackalene K. Kashner; two nieces, Jodie Myers and Gina Pijanowski and her husband Craig; two nephews, Jeremy Kashner and his wife Kelly and Chris Kashner and his wife Amanda. He is also survived by nine great-nieces and nephews; and his four-legged faithful buddy, "Bo". Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry E. Kashner. The family extends their deepest gratitude to all of Kevin's friends and family that have selflessly assisted him with cutting his grass and numerous other duties that he was unable to do himself while he battled through the last several months. Also, a very big thank you to everyone at Hospice and Community Care that nurtured him during his final days.
