Kris F. Miller

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kris Franklin Miller, of New Freedom, on Tuesday December 12, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Kristle (Hahn) Miller with whom he celebrated 23 years of marriage, a beloved Father and a beloved PawPaw. Kris was born on April 6, 1958, in York, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Shirley (Diehl) Stiffler.

Throughout his career, Kris was a CNC programmer at multiple machine shops. His greatest accomplishment, however, was his family. Nothing gave him more joy than spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and his great granddaughter. Kris was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan and, in his downtime, enjoyed fishing and woodworking.

In addition to his loving wife, Kristle, Kris is survived by his five children; Christi Bortner and her husband Scott, Jessica Lutman and her husband Randy, Brianna Lehman and her husband Matt, Jonathan Miller, Kris Miller Jr. and his fiancé Hannah Gibson. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Chelsea Stieff and her husband Jon, Brittney Youndt and her husband Andrew, Emalee Bortner, Owen Bortner, Garrett Bortner, Danielle Lehman and Aubrey Miller. Kris is also survived by his great granddaughter, Harper Youndt and his brother, Kim Miller and his wife Ellen. He also leaves behind his cousins; Shane Amspacher, Brandy Heaps and Amber Bailey, along with his cherished extended family, friends and colleagues. Not to be forgotten is Kris’ loyal companion, his German Shepherd, Ace. Ace offered unconditional love and support throughout his lengthy illness. Along with his mother, Kris is predeceased in death by his brother, Keith Miller.

A public viewing will be held at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N 2nd Street, New Freedom, PA 17349 on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
