Larry Wayne Wilson

Rev. Larry Wayne Wilson, 80, of Stewartstown, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was born in Lansing, Michigan, on February 22, 1941 to the late Merrill and Martha (Seehawer) Wilson. Rev. Larry was the loving husband of Carolyn Ann (La Prade) Wilson of Stewartstown whom he married on March 6, 1965, sharing 56years together. Larry attended college at Bob Jones University and upon graduation went to work with Rev. Jerry Falwell, Sr. at Thomas Rhodes Baptist Church in Lynchburg, VA, before pastoring churches in Iowa and New Jersey, then back to Virginia.Larry was an accomplished carpenter prior to being called to Immanuel Baptist Church in Stewartstown where he was pastor for 26 years. Larry is survived by his wife Carolyn and three siblings, Dwight (Astrid) Wilson of The Villages,Florida, Ronald (Annette) Wilson of Baltimore, MD, and Jeannine (Oakes) Gernert of Pittsburgh, PA. He is also survived by his in-laws, John La Prade (Janet), Janice Mason and Vicki Giangualano, all of Lynchburg VA, in addition to many nieces and nephews. Services will be scheduled at a later date.
