Laureen "Laurie" M. Shipley

Laureen “ Laurie” M. Shipley, 64, of Fawn Grove, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018. She was the wife of Lawrence “Larry” J. Shipley with whom she shared 26 years of marriage. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Laurie was the daughter of Eileen (Bromley) Hislop and the late Robert Toomey. Laurie worked at Verizon for 18 years in Hunt Valley, MD. She enjoyed gardening and loved her pets and family, most of all. In addition to her husband Larry and mother Eileen, she is survived by a daughter Genavieve “Genna” M. (Shipley) Foley and her husband Nathan J. Foley; siblings Starr Vincent, Lee Anne Bruders, and Robert “ Bobby” Hislop. She was preceded in death by her daughter Charleen Amanda Rock-Grab in 2004 and her father. Viewings will be on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pmat Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
