Lawrence W. Donham, 88, died Monday, April 2, 2018 at SpiriTrust Lutheran, Shrewsbury. He was the husband of the late Winifred “Peggy” Donham. Born May 17, 1929 in Aurora, W. VA, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Virginia (Sell) Donham. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War. Lawrence retired in 1984 from the Social Security Administration after 28 years of service. He was a member of Grace Chapel, Stewartstown, volunteered at Stewartstown Senior Center for many years and Bingo events at Eureka Volunteer Fire Co. Lawrence also enjoyed participating in York County Senior Olympic Games. He is survived by 2 daughters; Ginger Lusby of Pasadena, MD and Barbie Lay and her husband Bruce of Orange Park, Fl., 2 step sons, Richard Fausey and his wife Lois and Dennis Fausey. He also is survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Alma Snyder and her husband Jackie and Mildred Teets. He was predeceased by a son, Gene Donham; a brother, Harley Donham and a sister, Grace Winter. A private graveside service will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018, 11:00 am at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York. Officiating will be the Rev. David W. Burk. Military Rites by York County Veterans Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Chapel, PO Box 131, Stewartstown, PA 17363.
