Lawrence Joseph Knott

Lawrence Joseph Knott, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was the husband of the late Betty Lou Knott (April 9, 2020) to whom he was married 45 years. Born in Baltimore, MD he was a son of the late Charles J. and Cora S. (Pfister) Knott. Lawrence worked for the former Bendix Corporation and Raytheon Company as an accountant, retiring after 30 years. He also worked at Geneva Farm Golf Course and Pleasant Valley Golf Course. Lawrence was a United States Army Veteran, serving from 1958-1962. He was actively involved on the Zoning Commission Board and a member of Stewartstown VFW. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pylesville, MD for many years. Lawrence loved golf. He was known by everyone as a very giving and caring man. What he cherished the most was the time he shared with his wife, son, grandchildren and all other of his family. He is survived by a son Kurt Reuschling and wife Mary; two grandchildren Ryan L. and Teresa A.Reuschling; and many nieces and nephews and special friend, “Lawrence’s Angel,” Mary Good who helped care for his wife Betty, while she was on hospice. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., Stewartstown is assisting the family during this time.
