Lawrence Michael Mann

Lawrence “Larry” Michael Mann, 82, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018. He was the husband of Bertha Marie Biddison LaBarre Mann of Fawn Grove, whom he married, April 1992, celebrating 25 years of marriage. Born in Bronx, New York, Larry was the son of the late Lawrence William and Catherine (Kelly) Mann. Surviving in addition to his wife, Bertha, he leaves to cherish his memory, seven children, Deborah Hancock of Lutherville, MD, Maureen Mann of Fawn Grove, Sharon Glover and her husband, Clifford of New Hampshire, Matthew Mann of California, Stacey Lee and her husband, Robert of Lutherville, MD, Gary LaBarre and his wife, Debbie of Lineboro, MD, Dave LaBarre and his wife, Sally of Bel Air, MD; 2 sisters, 1 brother, 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many other family members. Larry was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Mann in 1983 and a brother. He worked as a Senior Electrical Engineer for Westinghouse, retiring in 1993, after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Baltimore Chapter. Spending time with family was very important to Larry. He also loved to travel, going to car shows, golfing, fishing, gardening, camping and anything outdoors. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, January 23rd from 5-7:00pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA. A service in honor of Larry’s memory will be held on Wednesday, January 24th at 10:00 am, at the funeral home in New Freedom. Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: St. Mary’s Catholic Church; 1021 St. Mary’s Rd., Pylesville, MD 21132.
