Layne Thomas Keeny

Layne T. Keeny, 42, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022. The son of the late Jay Thomas and Janis Marie (Spangler) Keeny, Layne was born and raised in York. He was the long-time companion and fiancé to Christina Lawyer. Layne was an EMT with White Rose Ambulance for most of his career. He was very passionate about his job there. He also worked for the Margaret E. Moul Home. He was a member of the Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren. In Layne’s younger years, he lived in Georgia where he completed basic training for the Army. In addition to his fiancée, Layne is survived by two daughters, Elise (Keeny) Zimmerman and Reaghan Harvey; his brother, Luke Keeny and wife, Britny; and nephew, Jackson, and niece, Rylee. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, at 10 AM at the Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, 645 Madison Ave, York, PA 17404. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
