Leonard "Glenn" Russell

Leonard “Glenn” Russell, 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was the loving husband of Donna Lynn (Haviland) Russell, together they were married 33 years this June 22nd. Leonard was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 17, 1956.

Glenn was a truckdriver the last 35 years for Bulkmatic Transport.  He enjoyed going to antique and classic car shows. He attended car shows with his red mustang and his blue truck. He was fond of Harley motorcycles and hunting with Artie. He also liked watching Nascar and the food channel. He loved his dog Sassy, who was his little girl and cherished all the time he was able to spend with his family.

Glenn is survived by his wife Donna, and his three sons Leonard “Lenny” James Russell (Michelle), William “Billy” Russell (Lindsay) and Daniel Steven Russell (Alyssa); grandchildren Jacob, Jace, Valerie, Evelyn, Braden, and Aurora; sisters Teressa Russell and Lori Russell; brother Michael Russell and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Kathy Brown; sister Diane Hoffman; and his parents William Glenn and Eva Alverta (Wright) Russell.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 13th, from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. An additional viewing will be held on Monday morning, October 14th, from 11:00 am- 12:00 pm, with a Funeral Service beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will immediately follow in the West Liberty United Methodist Cemetery, White Hall, MD.
