Leonard M. Stiffler

Leonard Mark Stiffler, 88, of Stewartstown, PA passed away peacefully, Tuesday November 23, 2021. He was the loving husband of 27, years to the late Carolyn R. (Hulshart) Stiffler. Leonard was born in Rayville, MD to the late Mark Richard Stiffler and Ruth May (Krebs) Stiffler. Leonard spent 54 years of his life trucking ,working many of those years with Yellow Freight. He loved to go out to eat, joke around, and visit car shows in Shrewsbury with his son, Carl. His favorite car was his El Camino. He is famous for his quote, “I’ve been a good boy since I was a year and a half old.” Leonard is survived by his 3 dear children; Irene Rodriguez, Carl Mark Stiffler (Bonnie), and Wanda Sweitzer; ten loving grandchildren; and brothers, Melvin Stiffler of Dallastown, Carroll Stiffler of Punta Gorda, FL, and Walter Stiffler of Red Lion; he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Bull, Gertrude Turnbaugh, Donald Stiffler, Robert Stiffler, and Marie Vales. He also leaves behind his dear friend, Joanne Martin. A public viewing will be held Tuesday, November 30th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown, PA 17363. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM, with interment immediately following in Norrisville United Methodist Cemetery. www.hartensteincares.com
