Leopold “Lee” Kittelt, 74, of Airville, passed away at home on June 21, 2024. He was the loving husband of 56 years to Patricia A. “Pat” (Lawson) Kittelt. Born in Graz, Austria, he was a son to the late Edmund and Ida (Skibak) Kittelt.
Lee met his sweetheart, Pat, in 9th grade in high school. After high school he enlisted in the National Guard. During his time enlisted in the military, he worked as a helicopter mechanic and was a marksmen. After the military, Lee joined the Carpenters Union Local 101 in Baltimore, and went into construction working as a self-employed carpenter and home builder for around 20 years. After many years of being self-employed, he went to work for J.F. Brinker which is where he retired from. Above all, Lee was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Lee is survived by his wife Pat; two sons, Lee Jr. and Ted; three grandchildren, Teddy, Liam, and Bianca; and two siblings, Alma Kujas, and Gertrude Warth. He was preceded in death by brother Theodore “Teddy”, sister Hermine Scheyder, brother Eddie, sister Elfriede “Effie”, and sister Heidi.
A public visitation will be held Friday, June 28, 2024 from 10 AM – 12PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A funeral service will begin at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Fawn Grove Cemetery, 67 S. Market St., Fawn Grove, PA 17321.
