Lester P. "Pick" Brown,

Lester “Pick” Brown, Sr., 92, of White Hall, MD passed away Saturday, April 21, 2018 in St. Joseph’s Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy A. (Salefsky) Brown who passed away in 1999. Born in Violet Hill, PA, he was a son of the late Lester and Clara (Lewis) Brown. Lester started Brown’s Auto Parts with his brothers following his return home from serving in the Army Air Force during WWII. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. Lester was a member of the Parkton American Legion. He is survived by a late son Lester P. Brown, Jr. and wife Diane P. Brown, daughter Teresa M. Brown and five grandchildren Lester P. Brown, III, the late Brian E. Brown, Dennis M. Brown, Shane Royston, Nicholas Royston and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2PM from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St. New Freedom, PA 17349 with Rev. Melissa A. McDade officiating. Interment will be held in Stabler’s Cemetery, Parkton. Viewings will be held Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9pm from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. and on Friday from 1-2pm at the funeral home.
