Lester “Ted” Owen Trusheim, Jr. passed away on December 15th, 2021. He was the loving husband of 10 years to Joan (Richter) Trusheim. Ted was born on October 9, 1937 to the late Lester Owen Trusheim, Sr. and Ida Pearle (Emmerich) Trusheim. Ted graduated from Johns Hopkins with a bachelor’s degree in engineering and spent many years working as an Engineer for Westinghouse.He was the Past Vice President and Treasurer with the B & O Railroad Historical Society and past Director and President of the Baltimore Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society (NRHS). Ted loved trains, but was even more passionate about his family. Along with his wife, Joan, he is survived by his loving step-children; Michael Frazier, Sr. (Ramona), Donna Ches (Michael), Carole Manzo (Bob) and Sharon Via (Jeff); adoring step grandchildren, Michael Frazier, Jr. (Cheryl), Jaime Ayres (Chris), Kelli Mathis (John), Kristina Calo, Joey Ches (Andriana), Val Ches (Brittany), Marc Manzo, Jessica Kyte (Rob), Julie Manzo, Matthew Manzo (Kayla), Stephanie Jordan (Patrick), Jeffrey Via, Jr. (Jamie); step great grandchildren, Will Frazier, Gabrielle Frazier, Ashlynn Frazier, Emily Mathis, Delanie Mathis, Dylan Mathis, Katelyn Ayres, Marisa Ayres, Ryan Ayres, Taina Cajigas, Tatiana Ches, Aden Ches, Dominic McKissick, Saya Calo, Jayden Robinson, John-Paul Manzo, Nicholas Fuhrman, Jeffrey Via III, and Lily Via; step great great granddaughter, Elizabeth McKissick; dear siblings, William Trusheim (Betsy), Carol Palanker (Edward) and Catherine Miller (Jeff); he is preceded in death by his step grandson, Luciano Ches. A public viewing will be held on Monday, December 20th from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 21st, at Shrewsbury Baptist Church, 612 W. Clearview Dr. Shrewsbury, PA 17316, with interment immediately following in Louden Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland.
