Linda L. Ecker

Linda L. Ecker, 82, of Stewartstown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Born in York, PA, she was the daughter to the late Herbert “Herb” and Hilda Jones. She was the loving wife of 59 years to the late Charles Ecker when he passed on March 20, 2023.

Linda was employed by Wellspan York Hospital and worked in the Medical Records department for 33 years. After retirement, Linda loved going to the NICU and volunteering to rock the babies every Tuesday and Thursday. Linda and Charles were involved in the Stewartstown VFW baseball for many years. Linda loved sports; she was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan. She was a member of Stewartstown Baptist Church for many years. Linda was also an avid NASCAR fan who loved Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon. She loved country music, especially Reba McEntire. She loved flowers and going to the beach. Linda loved cooking for her family! She absolutely loved and adored her grandkids!

Linda is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Hilt and partner Nelson Fitz; daughter-in-law, Brenda Lawson and husband Joe; brother, Bob Jones and his wife Vivian; 2 grandchildren, Dylan Hilt and Logan Ecker; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Herb and Hilda, husband Charles, and son Brian.

Family and friends are invited to a funeral service on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Stewartstown Baptist Church, 18631 Five Forks Rd., Stewartstown, PA 17363. Interment will follow the service in the Stewartstown Cemetery. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., Stewartstown, PA is assisting the family with the arrangements.
