Linda M. Kowalewski

Linda Marie Kowalewski, 80, passed away surrounded by family on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD after a battle with multiple myeloma cancer. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 9, 1942, daughter of the late George and Lillian Sobus.

Along with raising three boys Linda spent 15 years in the Baltimore County Public School system working as an Administrative Assistant. She especially enjoyed gardening and reading a good book. She also cherished travelling with her husband and friends and watching her grandchildren participate in their sports and performing arts activities.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Jacob Kowalewski whom she married on November 25, 1961.  She is survived by three sons, Tony and wife Hope of York, PA, Jason and wife Linnea Kessler-Gowell of Falls Church, VA, and Matthew and wife Angie of Sykesville, MD. She was the very proud “Gram” of seven grandchildren, Hannah, Carter, Nicole, Alena, Jackson, Evan, and Miles.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held at Hartenstein Funeral Home, 24 North Second Street, New Freedom, PA 17349 on Saturday March 11, 2023, at 10 am followed by a memorial service at 11am.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
