Lydia E. Hoeck

Lydia E. (Bednego) Hoeck, 73, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Born in Illinois, she was a daughter to the late Charles R. and Frances F. (Laffoon) Bednego. She was the loving wife of 15 years to the late John J. Hoeck, Jr.

Lydia was a very loving and hospitable person. She enjoyed having people over for gatherings and would help anyone with anything that she could. She absolutely loved people; above anything else, she loved her family (especially her grandbabies) and the Lord.

She is remembered by her two children, Rebecca Menser and her husband Michael “Mike”, and Bradley Simpson; two grandchildren, Andrew Menser and Evan Menser; two siblings, John Bednego, and Carol Simpson and her husband Larry. Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Shirley, Barbara, and Connie.

Family and friends are invited to a public viewing on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 5-7 PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29 at Genesis Church in Seven Valleys beginning promptly at 5pm. The service will be followed by a time to celebrate her life, with food provided.
