Manford "Manny" Lee Heaton

Manford “Manny” L. Heaton, 87, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Born in Pylesville, Maryland, he was the son to the late William F. and Hazel E. (Waltemyer) Heaton. Manny graduated in the class of 1954 from North Harford High School. He worked for Brunswick Corporation for over 40 years building bowling alleys when he retired in 1999. Manny was a devoted Nascar fan, avid Baltimore Orioles and Ravens fan, avid deer hunter, enjoyed the mountains of Pennsylvania, and loved caring for the local stray cats by his home and Taylor Haus. Manny was a true outdoorsman; traveling to Canada and Colorado on hunting trips. Manny is remembered by his two children, Tiena McLaughlin and her husband Michael, and Brandy Shaffer; grandchild, Nicholas L. Hafycz and his wife Tara; four great-grandchildren, Darian, Keela, Gerard, and Joy; and two sisters, Cinda Hayden and Almeda Keithley. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings, William, Franklin, and Angelene Arnold. Family and Friends are invited to a public viewing from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Melissa A. McDade. Interment will immediately follow the service in the Stewartstown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Manford’s memory to the local SPCA for the care of their cats.
