Margaret L. Joines

Margaret L. ‘Maggie’ Joines, 74, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William J. and E. Florence (Bankert) Ehrhart.

Maggie had been an Inspector at FINCOR for over 10 years, until she was disabled by Anti Phospholipid Syndrome (APS), a rare auto immune blood disorder. She began volunteering at White Rose Senior Center (WRSC) where she was a member, working with Meals on Wheels and served on the York Housing Committee. She enjoyed reading, spending time with family, watching old westerns, and WRSC activities, including bus trips and Bingo. Complications from APS ultimately overcame her, after living with the disorder for over 30 years.

Surviving are three children, Shannon Carlson and her spouse, Kevin, Christy Hinkle, and Brett Joines; five grandchildren, Tyler Hinkle, Sean Hinkle, Joshua Cribbs, Madeline ‘Maddie’ Joines and Elise ‘Ellie’ Joines; three great grandchildren, Sophia Hinkle, Alice Hinkle, and Cassius Hinkle; and three siblings, Henry Ehrhart and his spouse, Pauline, Catharine Joines and her spouse, Kenneth, and Clarence Ehrhart and his spouse, Beverly.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a viewing from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2 ^nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349 with a funeral service starting at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Steltz Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Maggie’s memory to Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, 5890 Steltz Rd., Glen Rock, PA, 17327 or White Rose Senior Center, www.whiteroseseniorcenter.org.
