Marguerite Romaine Wirtz (Norris)

Marguerite Romaine (Norris) Wirtz, 84, died Monday, October 17, 2016, at her home in Gettysburg. She was the wife of the late Lawrence E. Wirtz. Viewing will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 23 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mortuary, with Pastor Rick Ritenour officiating. Burial will follow at Stewartstown Cemetery. Born July 16, 1932, in Wilmington, Del., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Mary Emma Virginia (Barrett) Norris. Marguerite attended Bethel Assembly of God in Littlestown and previously attended the Assembly of God in Shrewsbury. She retired from Sears & Roebuck after 19 years in their Auditing Dept. at Hunt Valley, Md. and Mondawin, Md. She enjoyed time spent with her family and was an avid reader. Marguerite is survived by three daughters, Patricia Faye Krebs and her husband Galen of Gettysburg, Carol J. McDonough and her husband Dave of Havre De Grace, Md. and Linda J. Vasquez of Glen Rock; seven grandchildren, Lora, Bobby, Bonnie, Shelly, Susan, Julia, Johnnyand many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Kathleen Marie Surratt; and a son, Larry E. Wirtz.
