Marie I. Chmielewski

Marie I. Chmielewski, 93, of Shrewsbury passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in the Emergency Department of WellSpan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Chmielewski. Born in Baltimore, MD she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Regina (Oleski) Stachowski. Marie worked as a secretary for the State of Maryland and enjoyed cross word puzzles and watching Jeopardy and Price is Right on television. She also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, baking and cooking her favorite Polish dishes and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Marie is survived by her four children Linda Carson, Diane Carson and husband Jason Ford, Michael Chmielewski and Robert Chmielewski and wife Mary Ellen; five grandchildren Elizabeth, Jessica, Rebecca, Joseph and Laura; five great-grandchildren Brynn, Sean, Flora Marie, Giana and Cataleya; one sister Mildred Dembeck. She was preceded in death by two brothers John Stachowski and Edward Stachowski and two sisters Lillian Sneigowski and Stella Stachowski. Services will be held at the convenience of her family.
