Marie Cornett, age 61, of Petersburg, WV, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA. She was born June 23, 1958, in Trenton, New Jersey, and was a daughter of the late John Anthony Genovesi and Ida (Helms) Genovesi Feehan. Marie is survived by her husband G. James Cornett; three sons, James L. Bell, Jr. of Sittard, Netherlands; Anthony J.(Melissa) Bell of Chesapeake, VA; Samuel D. (Samantha) Bell of Dunn Loring, VA; three step daughters, Megan Flynn(Thomas Burgess) of Colorado Springs, CO; Debra A. Cornettand Leslie A. Cornett both of New Freedom, PA; one step son, Joseph M.(Rebekah) Bon, Jr. of Abingdon, MD, and twelve grandchildren, Maria Bell, Brandon Bell, Jamison Rozsa, Hannah Rozsa, Juliette Bell, Violet Bell, Charlotte Bell, Tyler Bon, Eliyanah Bon, Silas Bon, Noah Cornett, Liliana Smith and a god daughter, Virtue Otome;two brothers, John A. (Lina) Genovesi of Princeton, NJ and Dan (Maria) Genovesi of Yardley,PA and three nieces and two nephews. Marie owned and operated Natural Designs by Marie in Petersburg, WV.She previously worked at FNB Bank, Romney, WV. Marie was actively involved in Love Church, Moorefield, WV.Marie was an amazing woman who touched many lives and it was a blessing to have known her.Anyone who met Marie saw the love that she had for her Heavenly Father and her true devotion to walking in her faith.Marie took pride in all her son’s accomplishments and she felt truly blessed to have them in her life. She also loved all her grandchildren who were the “light of her life”. She had been an active volunteer with hospice and the James Isaac House (pregnancy resource center). “Her children arise and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praises her” A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at Love Church, 200 Loves Way, Moorefield, WV with Pastor Dixie Murray and Pastor Elisha Okoromoba officiating. Marie’s family will receive friends from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.
