Marie Doris Jones

Marie Doris Jones, 80, of Stewartstown, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2025. She was the loving wife of George Raymond Jones, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born February 29, 1944, in Baltimore, MD, Marie was the daughter of the late Albert Newton and Mary Bessie (Deurling) Smith.

She enjoyed reading, traveling to visit the sea turtles in Topsail, NC, time spent with family and birdwatching.

She is survived by her husband George, two daughters Dixie Fritzinger (Frank) and Lesa Wise ( Richard), four grandchildren Michael Seidelman, Derek Seidelman (Michele), Julianna Hoover (Rob), and Kirsten Wise; three great grandchildren Layne, Jace and Ivy; a sister Catherena Garrity and brother Stephen Smith. She was preceded in death by her sister Constance Baker and brother Albert Smith.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
