Marshall Lee Pugh, 90, passed from this life on December 16, 2022. He was born in Rocks, MD, now known as Bel Air, MD, to James L. and Flora Mae (Perkins) Pugh. He married his love, Doris L. Walker, who preceded him in death in 2009. They had a son, Marshall Lee Pugh Jr., who preceded him in death; Doris had a son when they were married, James L. Walker Sr., who Marshall raised and who predeceased him. Marshall has a grandson, James L. Walker, living in Paisley, FL, with his wife, Jenifer.

Marshall had 12 siblings, five of whom have predeceased him: Mary (Sally) Tate, Cebert Breece Pugh, Mildred Ruth Morris, Robert L. Pugh, and Ella Mae Dugger. Surviving siblings are James R. Pugh, Satsuma, FL, Dorothy J. Surber, Manchester, TN, Bertha C. Weaver, Peach Bottom, PA, Shirley A. Horton, Daniel L. Pugh, both of Conowingo, MD, Stanley E. Pugh, Branson, MO, and Sharon D. Smith, Spring Grove, PA; and his very special friend and companion, Mary Coffman.

Marshall attended Salem U.M. Church in Hampstead, MD. He belonged to the Moose Lodge in Hickory, MD, and to the Eagles Club in Hanover. Marshall worked on the PA Railroad; he stated he never liked this job and only stayed just over a year. After marrying and starting a family, he eventually went to work at Black & Decker. Marshall said he enjoyed the different positions he worked in, then they made him a team leader. He did very well in his position and they kept offering him higher ranks until he was promoted to manager. After retiring from Black & Decker, he went back for 4 years traveling to and from Fayetteville, NC, as an advisor for that division of Black & Decker.

Marshall has travelled to eight countries and been in all 52 states at least two times. Traveling was something he and Doris loved to do and they excelled at it. His favorite things to do included following NASCAR for many years included boating and camping for years before they began traveling.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2 nd St., New Freedom, PA  17349 with a funeral service starting at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt.
