Marvin D. Miller

Marvin Douglas Miller, 92, passed away at home on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Born in Sparks, Maryland, he was the son of the late Alan and Alma (Shamberger) Miller.

Marvin liked to work in his garden, enjoyed fishing, and loved to ride his bike on the local Rail Trail. He was a Tool & Die maker for many years. Marvin was a military veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Janet (Burns) Miller; 2 children, James “Jim” Miller, and Robert Miller (Amy); 2 grandchildren, William Miller, and Joseph Miller; a nephew Robbie Dixon; and a niece Nancy Dixon. He was preceded in death by his brother Arthur Miller, and sister Miriam Dixon.

There will be a public viewing at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2 ^nd St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium, MD.
