Mary Ann Ensor (Hoffman)

Mary Ann Ensor, 61, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at her home. She was the wife of Charles E. "Chuck" Ensor, Jr. Viewings will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, December 26, 2016 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA. Service and burial will be private. Born January 21, 1955 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Earl William and Martha Mildred (Fischer) Hoffman. She was a 1973 graduate of Hereford High School. Mary Ann and her husband, Chuck, met in the 9th grade, married in 1974, and celebrated 42 years of marriage in 2016. She was a former Sunday School teacher at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church for many years. Mary Ann worked and served as Secretary-Treasurer for the family farming operation, Cold Bottom Farms, Inc. In addition to her husband, Mary Ann is survived by two daughters, Marcy Ann Franklin and her husband, Heath and Christy Ellen Copenhaver and her husband, Benjamin; grandchildren, Noelani May and Izabella Leona Franklin, Cassandra Ann, Ethan Christopher and Adan Benton Copenhaver; and a brother, Charles William Hoffman. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary Ann's name may be made to Cedar Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 333, Monkton, MD 21111.
