Mary Edna Openshaw (Thomas)

On Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, Mary Edna Openshaw of White Hall. Wife of the late Mervin E. "Bud" Openshaw, mother of Marvin E. Openshaw and his wife, Gloria of Monkton, and Linda Lou Wells, and her husband, Jack of Wytheville, VA; and caregiver and granddaughter, Amy Blymire and her husband, Bill of White Hall. Also survived by seven additional grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a brother, Jack Thomas, and his wife Hilda of White Hall. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Elwood and Ronnie Dale Openshaw. Mary enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family. A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2018, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wiseburg Cemetery, White Hall.
