Mary E. Shiflett

Mary E. Shiflett 91, died Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jack D. Shiflett with whom she spent 46 wonderful years. A viewing will be held Saturday August 26, 2023 beginning at 9:30 am -11:30am at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, Pa. Followed by a graveside service held at Gardens of Faith Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, Md. Born November 28,1931 in Baltimore, Md., Mary was the daughter of the late John Logan Sr. and Mildred E (Kraus) Logan. Mary was the owner of a cleaning business for 40 plus years from which she retired in 2009. She enjoyed cooking, canning, playing bingo, yahtzee, traveling and cherished time spent with her family and many friends. Mary is survived by two sons John R. Shiflett and his wife Kimberly of New Freedom, Kenneth D. Boone and his wife Kathy of Baltimore. Six grandchildren Justin Boone, Kenneth Boone Jr., Michael Boone, Brandon Shiflett, Jackie Kraft, Ryan Shiflett and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack D. Shiflett, three sons Charles Boone, Albert Boone and Gary Boone, her daughter-in-law Lynne Boone and one grandson Mattheau Boone.
