Marylou (Trinidad) Stokes, 90, of York, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. She was the wife of Dudley F. Stokes, whom she celebrated 70 years of marriage with on December 17th. Born in Gibraltar, Marylou was the daughter of the late Albert and Carlotta (Monteverde) Trinidad. In addition to her loving husband, Marylou is survived by 4 children, Ronald W. Stokes and his wife Janeen of Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, Alan P. Stokes and his wife Donna of Parkton, MD, Gary M. Stokes and his fiancé Jennifer Fleming of Bel Air, MD, Deborah A. Shanahan and her husband Michael of Round Hill, VA; 7 grandchildren, Jason, Kirsten, Harry, Allison, Jason, Samantha, and Amy; 5 great grandchildren, Johnny, Sean, Kayla, Liam and Lucy. Marylou was a British Navy Veteran serving from 1944-1945 during WWII. She loved to travel the world with her husband and going on cruises. She enjoyed playing cards, cooking, knitting, and bowling. She was a true Orioles fan and loved spending time with her family most of all. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA is assisting the family with arrangements. There will be a Mass held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Grace; 18310 Middletown Rd, Parkton, MD 21120, with Rev. Joseph Wenderoth officiating.
