Maureen T. Jorio

Maureen T. (Rynes) Jorio, 91, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. Born in Baltimore City, Maryland, she was the daughter to the late William B. and Mabel (Coughlin) Rynes.

Maureen graduated from The Catholic High School in Baltimore City. She also belonged to some different groups at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland where she was an active member and lecture for over 50 years. She used to love to bowl. Maureen worked for many years as a Pharmacy Technician at K-Mart in Baltimore. She was also known for her spring and fall house cleaning when she would clean and organize the entire house top to bottom. Family was the most important thing to Maureen, especially around the holidays. Even though many of her friends have already passed, she will be remembered and missed by all who survive her.

Maureen is remembered by her two children, Richard “Rick” F. Scheller, and Kimberly “Kim” C. Widner; two Step-Children, David Jorio and Joyce Reigle; 15 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, David G. Scheller; both of her parents; and her husbands, Ernest F. Scheller & Emil F. Jorio and Step-Daughter, Nancy Der.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 6-8 PM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. There will be a procession from the Stewartstown funeral home to Louden Park Cemetery on Thursday, December 12, leaving at 9:30 AM for those who would like to join the procession. A graveside service will be on Thursday, December 12 at 11 AM at the cemetery.
