Michael S. Green

M. Stephen "Steve" Green, 65, died Monday, October 31, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services in Dallastown. Viewings will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, November 4 and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 5 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary with Rev. Robert S. Harris officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Born March 2, 1951 in White Hall, Md., he was a son of the late Jarvis "Jerry" and Mary (Brown) Green. Steve retired from AIM in Parkton, Md. in 2011 and was previously employed with Black and Decker in Hampstead, Md. Surviving are a son, Michael S. Green, Jr.; and a granddaughter, Rachael Green; five sisters, Sherry Ferguson, Beverly Painter, Susan Greek, Pearl Johnson and Candy Herbert; and a brother, Harley Green. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jarvis Green, Donna Bowers and Willie Green. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steve's name may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 150 Monument Rd., Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
