Mildred B. Kirchner, 94, of Glen Rock, entered into God’s care on Friday, November 9, 2018. She was the wife of the late John Daniel Kirchner. Born in Shippensburg, PA, Mildred was the daughter of the late Earl and Ruth E. (Bair) Baker. She is survived by her two children Neale D. Kirchner and his wife Jacqueline and Dorene A. Clark and her husband Wade; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great- great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Mildred was a United States Veteran, serving in the Coast Guard as a storekeeper during WWII. She worked as a secretary at AMP Incorporated, formerly Tyco, retiring at age 65 after 17 years of service. She then went on to work at Susquehannock High School as an office secretary and later at Harvey’s Rent All until she retired at age 85. She was a lifetime member of Glenview Alliance Church, and was very active with teaching bible lessons through home evangelism. She was also a member of Glen Rock American Legion, Post 403. There will be a memorial service held on Sunday, November 18th at 3:00 p.m. at Glenview Alliance Church; 10037 Susquehanna Trail South, Glen Rock, PA. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Christ Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N.
