Mildred E. Noback, 73, died Friday, November 20, 2015, at Hospice and Community Care in Mt. Joy. She was the wife of Ingowin Noback for 54 years. A public viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. Interment is private. Born March 16, 1942, in Washington, D.C., Mildred was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Mary E. (Fitzgerald) Railey. She was a member of the York Art Association and Baltimore Watercolor Society. She painted with watercolor as her medium and later, abstract. She also enjoyed gardening, animals, and kids.She is survived by her husband; three children, Erik Edwin Noback, Kurt Konrad Noback and wife, Shannon, and Lisa Lotte Noback David and husband, George; six grandchildren, Emily E. Thomas, Paul C. Thomas, Nicholas Hess, and Brianna, Kaitlyn, and Mason Noback; and three siblings, Margaret Blair and husband, Peter, June Railey and husband, George, and Joseph Railey and wife, Sandy. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Catherine Schroeder.
