Nancy Louise (Seitz) Shauck Dostmann

Nancy Louise (Seitz) Shauck Dostmann, 76, of New Freedom passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at her residence. Born at her home in Shrewsbury, she was a daughter of the late Clark E. and Margarite R. (Godfrey) Seitz. She is survived by her two children, Roxann Cummins and her husband, Jeffrey, and Everett Donald Shauck, III “Butch” Mark Houston; a grandson, Terry Grega and his wife Brooke; a great granddaughter Makenna Leann Staples; two brothers, Larry E. Seitz and his companion, Shirley Mellinger and Stephen Seitz and his wife, Dianne; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harry A. Dostmann, who was the light of her life and her rock. Nancy was full of life, dedicated to spending time with her family; she will be remembered by her bright smile, kindness and being lots of fun. She enjoyed traveling to NY, Canada and many other places. She loved the wilderness, visiting the mountains, and going to the beach. Nancy was as a machine operator at American Insulator Company in New Freedom and worked many nights while attending Cosmetology school in Red Lion. She later was a beautician for many years. She was an active member of the V.F.W Post 7012 New Freedom, YMCA Shrewsbury, United Birthday Club, and Viking Club. Nancy was also active as a Den mother in the Boys Scouts and Miss Shrewsbury in 1959. There will be a public viewing from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Joseph Giesey Memorial Cemetery in Shrewsbury.
