Nancy Leola Roberts Janes

Nancy Leola Roberts Janes, 85, of New Freedom, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Nancy is survived by her husband of 33 years, David R. Janes. She was born April 30, 1936 in Jefferson County, AL to the late Nancy Elizabeth (Clement) Stewart. Nancy enjoyed reading, dancing, bird watching and going on vacation. She also loved to rescue animals and was an avid Ravens football fan. Nancy is survived by her husband, David; two step children, Michael K. Janes, and Stacy L. Janes; two step grandchildren; her sister, Deborah and two nieces. Nancy was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Roberts; brother, Hugh and sister, Barbara. A public viewing will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM on Sunday, May 1, 2022 and on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. located at 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, PA 17349. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at New Freedom Cemetery.
