Nancy L. Shaffer (Hollerbush)

Nancy L. (Hollerbush) Shaffer, 87, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017. She was a devoted wife to the late Carroll E. Shaffer, whom passed away on November 8, 2014. Nancy and Carroll, loved to travel, including 30+ cruises they were able to experience together. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. Monday, October 30th at Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, 5890 Steltz Rd., Glen Rock, PA 17327. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon on Monday at the church with the Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She was born August 21, 1930 in York to the late James C. and Genevieve (Wambaugh) Hollerbush. Nancy was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church, in Glen Rock. She shared her love for music with others by being a former organist at Steltz and a few other churches. Nancy was a devoted mother to her three children, Steven J. Shaffer and his significant other, Lisa Fern of Parkton, Md, Roxane L. Smee and her husband, Alan, and Kelly S. Gettys and her husband, Harvey, all of York; she was also survived by four grandchildren, Tiffany Hebenton, Scott Shaffer, Brett Smee, and Lindsay Monaldi; four great-grandchildren, Abbey, Haley, Joseph, and Julianna; two nephews, Dennis and Rick; a niece, Cathyand a sister, Patricia Myers of York. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Steltz Reformed Church at the address above. Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc. 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, is assisting the family with arrangements.
