Nellie M. Morrison-Hollingshead (Jordan)

On March 28, 2016, Nellie M. Morrison Hollingshead, 92, of York died at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. A public viewing will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, March 31 at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 N. Second Street, New Freedom, where a funeral service will be held at 10am on Friday, April 1.Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Freeland, MD.Pastor Jeff Feeser will officiate. Nellie was born May 1, 1923 in Cycle, NC to the late William E. and Lanor (Collins) Jordan.She was the wife of the late Ernest J. Morrison and the late William S. Hollingshead.She was a member of the Turnpike Baptist Church in Shrewsbury and a member of its Senior Class.She was also a member of AARP Chapter #4142.She retired from Becton-Dickinson of Hunt Valley, MD in 1982 after 7 years of service.She was previously employed with R&L Eickelberger Printing Co. in Hunt Valley, MD and the former Die Craft Machine Co. in Sparks, MD. Nellie is survived by one son, LeRoy C. Jordan and his wife Regina; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; also survived by one brother, Ralph Jordan.She is preceded in death by her husbands; parents and two brothers. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name are recommended to the Turnpike Baptist Church, 519 S. Main St., Shrewsbury, PA 17361.
