Nona N. Ensor

Nona N. Ensor, 99, of York passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Senior Commons at Powder Mill in York where she had been a resident for the past 4 years. She was the wife of the late Leonard E. Ensor who passed away in 2010. Born in Charleston, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Ida Alberta (Mooney) Goff. Nona was 1 of 13 children and worked for the Social Security Administration where she met her late husband Leonard and then was a homemaker taking care of her children. She was a member of the Woman’s Civic League and enjoyed playing cards and bowling. She is survived by her three children Karen and her husband Thomas Hopkins, Kenneth Ensor, and Brenda and her husband Jon Ayscue; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and also survived by four siblings Norris, Clinton, Mary and Iris. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 12PM from Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St. Stewartstown with Rev. John C. Dorr, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Ridge Cemetery, Upperco, MD. Viewing will be held from 10AM until the time of Nona’s service at 12PM.
