Norene C. Tolley (Wildasin)

Norene Catherine Tolley, 89, died Friday, October 7, 2016, at the home of her daughter. She was the beloved wife of Joshua W. "Bud" Tolley, who died August 14, 2010. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016, at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 24 N. Second St., New Freedom. The service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Mortuary, with Chaplain Betty Fundalewicz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Rinely. She was born July 7, 1927, in York, a daughter of the late Brook Sterling and Mabel (Ehrhart) Wildasin. Norene was not only a housewife, but also a song writer and Spring Valley Band leader, playing at local carnivals, church socials, and senior centers. She played acoustic guitar, Dobro guitar, Hawaiian guitar, and the autoharp. She patented over 100 songs; her favorite was, "Just Another Rose for God's Garden." Norene was the devoted mother to two children, Shirley J. Tolley, Seven Valleys, and James B.Tolley and his wife, Ann of Felton; six grandchildren, Brent S. and Marshall A. Rudacille and his wife, Dori, Daniel L. Jr., and Jessica M. McPherson, Katie J. and Joseph S. Tolley and his wife, Sarah; five great-grandchildren, Kiana L., Vincent R., Cynthia V., Luke A., and Carter O. Rudacille. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra J. McPherson; a son, Stephen A. Tolley; and a sister, Evelyn Klinedinst.
