Norman H. Rockwood

Norman H. Rockwood, 75, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was the loving husband of Dorothy Lynn (Rutkowski) Kimmel Rockwood and they were married September 1, 1989. Born in Baltimore, Md., he was the son of the late Francis and Dorothy Ann (Hopkins) Rockwood. Norman proudly served in the Navy and later worked as a vehicle inspector for the State of Maryland.Norman enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing. He also loved his dogs. Surviving in addition to his wife are three step children, Harry A. Sipes Jr. and his wife, Ann, of Catonsville, Md., William E. Sipes Sr. and his wife, Donna Michele of Hanover, PA., and Robert M. Sipes and his wife, Denise Settar of Finksburg, Md.; 6 step grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Allisun, William, Nicholas, andMadison; a half-brother, Paul Schmidt of Richmond, VA; and a nephew, Robert Schmidt. There will be a gathering honoring both Dorothy’s and Norman’s life on Sunday, August 29, at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 24 N. 2nd St., New Freedom, PA, 17349 from 1-4 p.m. Services and interment will be at the convenience of their family.
