Oskar Schroeder

Oskar Schroeder, 78, of New Park, Pennsylvania went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2022.  Oskar was the loving husband of Susan (Gibbons) Schroeder, sharing 55 years of marriage.  Born March 20, 1944, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Florentine Schroeder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Matt Schroeder (Melanie); two grandchildren, Jacob and Aubrey Schroeder; brother, Bert Schroeder (Evelyn); sister, Lilli Hobbs; brother-in-law, Ed Gibbons and wife Nancy; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Oskar retired from North Harford High School after 30 years of teaching science and many years of coaching soccer.  He enjoyed gardening, making wine and apple cider, fishing, and woodworking.  He especially loved camping with his son and grandchildren. Oskar and his family had previously attended Faith Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Fawn Grove for many years.

There will be a visitation from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26 ^th at Hartenstein Funeral and Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
