Patricia Ann Cranston, 79, of New Freedom passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at her residence. She was the loving wife of the late Thomas W. Cranston who passed away in 2019. Born in Sparks, Maryland she was a daughter of the late Raymond S. and Frances E. (Wirtz) Ryan. She married the love of her life, Thomas W. Cranston, on February 7, 1959 and celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his death. Patricia enjoyed quilting, knitting, stained glass and enjoyed the outdoors especially walking, hiking, kayaking. She loved spending time with her family, was active with church events. She was a former member of the Shrewsbury Assembly of God and attended Harvest Time Temple. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She never met a stranger and had the gift of making everyone around her feel welcomed. Pat was a great example to all who knew her, she loved God, her family, and her friends. Her deepest desire was for those around her to know Christ’s love and have a relationship with Him. Pat shared her faith by simply loving on people and she did this until the very end. Pat will be tremendously missed by all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by three daughters Tamie Heath and husband Johnny, Terrie Ferris and husband Chris, Peggy Leese and husband Casey; 10 grandchildren Heidi, Teresa, Kendi, Robert, Aaron, Kierra, Thomas, Cranston, Audrei, Hannah; 12 great-grandchildren Braydin, Maddex, Conner, Preston, Heath, Eli, Aurelia, Peyton, Grant, Piper, Alaina, Carson; three sisters Nancy Counts, Joan Leatherwood and husband Bill,Janet Mays and husband Rickey; one brother-in-law Richard Warren. Patricia was preceded in death by one sister Darlene Warren and a brother-in-law James Counts. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11AM from the Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 234 N. Main St., Shrewsbury. Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, Maryland. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 7-9PM at the Shrewsbury Assembly of God. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 984 Loucks Rd. Suite 1 York, PA 17404 in her memory.
