Paul G. Martin, Sr., 99, passed away Friday, September 10, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Thelma Mae (Kerns) Martin. Born in Hagerstown, Md., Paul was the son of the late Henry N. and Nannie E. (Mace) Martin. He owned and operated Blaustein Building Barber Shop for many years in downtown Baltimore. He enjoyed camping and bike riding. He was a devout, long time member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Baltimore, Md. He was also an avid accordionist and joyfully sang bass in the choir there. Paul also shared his gifts for many years in Baltimore area nursing homes. Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, John N. Martin of Baltimore, Md., Mark D. Martin Sr. and his wife, Audrey H. of New Park, Timothy J. Martin of Delta, Thomas C. Martin and his wife, Royce of Mardela Springs, Md., and Tammy J. Caudle and her husband, Dennis of Little Elm, TX; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by siblings Mary Cornelia Rhoe, Clinton E. Martin, Harry E. Martin, William H. Martin, and Charlotte V. Martin. There will be a viewing from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, September 16 at Hartenstein Funeral & Cremation Care, Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, PA 17363. There will be a funeral service on Friday, September 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Faith Memorial Park, 5598 Trumps Mill Rd, Baltimore, Md. 21206.
